DEAR ADOPTIONS
Chief Heads to Delaware
Hi,
Everyone at Down East, this is Chief. I am still a bit anxious but my new
family seem to think that that is normal for me.
I rode with them to Emporia, VA last night where we got off of the moving earth
(the van) and went to sleep in a big room with 2 beds. Of course, my space was
on the floor between my new parents.
They took good really good care of me. I had what I think was my very first
hamburger. It was what my new Mommy called "well done". I ate it quickly and
seemed to enjoy it.
When we got up this morning, we went for a ride. I got sick only once and much
to everyone's surprise, it was only bile. No trace of burger. My new parents
just picked up after me, put down a new comfy sheet, and off we went. I later
treated my new Daddy to my "poop". He said it was pretty stinky.
Later when we got home I met my new Sisters, Tori and Shika. Tori is the oldest
and out of this thing called respect, they introduced me to her first. We got
along just fine, then I met Shika. She likes me too and I like both of them. I
got a little nervous when Shika barked when someone knocked on the door. I went
behind the living room chair and I hid.
Oh, and here is the best part - I posed for pictures with my new sisters. We
will send copies to you as soon as Mommy and Daddy get more picture paper.
Please send us an address to send them to you.
I also learned how to get in to the van all by myself. Now getting out, that is
another story. I don't want to leave the moving earth any more.
But then again, maybe I will. I have the run of the house with my new family,
but I haven't ventured out too far on my own.
I did make it to the water bowl and drank my first large drink since I left
you. I think I'm going to be very happy here.
